Estrin D is an over the counter weight-loss pill designed specifically to combat weight gain in women who are pre-menopausal or menopausal. Consisting of a powerful mix of xanthine (caffeine or caffeine-like stimulants) and agents to help contain hormonal swings, manufacturers Covaxil Laboratories claim that this drug increases the resting metabolic rate giving users an energy boost. It also targets the ‘hunger hormone’ ghrelin to lower the calorie intake in the body, and is said to help stabilize hormonal and emotional fluctuations that are experienced during menopause.
